You are not for everyone!

Poor mentality to have? I think not. I firmly believe that although we can be polite to everyone, we do not have to change or compete in order to manifest ourselves into this person who is the perfect fit for everyone.
Coming to this realization and accepting this fact that we are not for everyone is one of the best things we can do for ourselves.

Each of us is uniquely branded, molded by core values, fashioned by circumstance and driven by ambition. Within that persona are aspects that do not align with others…and that’s OK, its what defines us and sets us apart.

Personal Experience:
I posted a picture of a mosque on my Instagram page sometime last week and lost 20+ followers in the half hour that followed…What does that mean? Absolutely nothing to me; my faith has helped to carve me into the person I am and if that doesn’t sit well with you, its ok. I will NOT filter my life just for followers or a particular audience but instead I will continue to fill my feeds with stories and pictures that are representative of who I am.

Reminder:
A tulip doesn’t strive to impress anyone. It doesn’t struggle to be different than a rose. It doesn’t have to. It is different. And there’s room in the garden for every flower. You didn’t have to struggle to make your face different than anyone else’s on earth. It just is. You are unique because you were created that way…”
Marianne Williamson

Be a rose or be a tulip but whatever you choose, do it because it speaks first and foremost to your core values and vision.

  2. I hate that happen to you. We speak on diversity, but we can easily separate others by distancing ourselves or ostracize them for their beliefs. People focus on the extreme of both Christianity and Muslim religions. I enjoy your blog, and I love following your story via social media. Keep sharing your story not all of us do what we do for “followers” alone. They come and go. Those who truly read your message and listening to it’s depth will never leave. Be blessed beautiful!
