“Fade Away Sleep Sounds” | Review

For many of us, going to the Ocean is a place of quiet reprise, a place to relax and unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Whether it’s the sound of the waves, the salt water air or the sense of freedom, we enjoy it! Although that isn’t possible as often as we like (daily), sometimes a nice shower does the trick for us. It is said some of our most creative thoughts are formed when we are showering. That could very well be because it is a time when we are at peace and at one with ourselves. As a busy mom, my showers are short but I relish the sound of the water, the tranquility that permeates, and the thoughts that flow in wild abandon. However, now there’s a product that can provide that atmosphere even outside of the shower, making you nostalgic and taking you back to that quiet, cozy relaxing place.
Fade Away Sleep Sounds was kind enough to offer me the opportunity to preview many of the sounds. The Bathtub and Shower sound was a favorite, especially for my 9 month old. While it helped to block out some of her siblings sounds, I’m sure it was calming and soothing as she napped for roughly 3 hours when it was playing. This one reminded me of some heavy rain outside and I left it on as I wrote down ideas for a blog collaboration. Meanwhile, Music and Thunder made me want to get cozy under a warm blanket with a good book and warm tea. It was sensational and sounded as though there was a storm going on right outside the window.

One of the things I thoroughly enjoy about this is that the sounds are compatible for both infant and parents. We had a baby machine when my older kids were younger but the sounds were the tunes of a ‘heart beat’, a loud thumping sound which I didn’t like playing in my room where the baby slept or the tune of ‘rock a bye baby’ and ‘twinkle twinkle little star’. Having 4 kids, those tunes are quite familiar to me, so much so that having a machine playing them is nothing short of….annoying.

Other pros are that this product is downloadable which means you can take it anywhere so if your baby enjoys the sounds and you need to keep her calm in the car, on a plane, on vacation or at grandma’s house then you have that option! Don’t want to play it from your mobile device? no problem- stream it to any blue tooth enabled device.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this, for the choice of different calming sounds, the portability and convenience and affordable cost.

  1. Great review – we used white noise for my little one until she was 9 months old and I’ll be honest, it did drive me nuts! This would have been a much better option, the soothing sounds of the ocean, how relaxing 🙂 Thanks for linking up to #dreamteam xx
