Mermaid Doll Making Kit

This was one of our more special art projects this past week. I purchased this Mermaid  kit from Joann’s and it included everything needed to make the mermaid. Instructions were simple and easy to understand and we had fun making it.

Transforming Ninja Star with post-it notes

One of my sons older friends showed this to him and I’m going to be honest, it took me a full night of practicing and several youtube videos to understand how to make it, but it sure is cool.

Hair-bow Making

This was a gift and we always have such a fun time making our own hair bows. Again it includes everything to make the most beautiful hair bands, accessorized with rhinestones and all.

Pipe Cleaner Fun

There was a back to school Whole Foods event in which my kids learnt to make different objects using pipe cleaners, such as insects, butterflies, bookmarks, etc They have since been honing their skills in that department.

Lego Education
I ordered different sets of the Lego education blocks and many hours are spent building a variety of different things.

Painting
This is something that is a constant in our house and when visiting their grandparents, they also indulged in it.

Drawing
One would assume drawing would fit in somewhere in arts and crafts, right? well we have new artwork every single day.
This is what decorates the area next to my desk. The book used to draw the animals is called, “How to draw 101 Animals in Easy Steps” and we spend many afternoons outside randomly drawing animals and talking about them.
