Solutions, Mixtures, Stirring…Sparkly rocks!

We did this little science experiment a few weeks ago. This was a gift and our children have enjoyed helping with the mixing, while learning about solutions and mixtures and how things dissolve. Of course granted their ages those concepts were explained in their simplest forms but it was fun. This does require patience though as the crystals “grow” over the period of a week. It is cool to watch its growth daily and see it evolve from a liquid state to a solid state; which are also science concepts we touched on during this.
